A great place for kids to learn and enjoy... Their Lightning Room and Planetarium are both worth visiting. Scienceworks does get very busy on weekends so do go early in the day. There's a cafe and plenty of room outside in the courtyard for those wanting lunch or a picnic - and there's also a couple of outdoor playgrounds for the kids in the internal courtyard area.

Great place to learn science. Amazing robots display. The kids love designing their own environmental-friendly cars and try many more activities. Worth to go there few times to see all. It's not easy to find a parking space in holidays though.

A good day out for the kids. Always something new to see. Reasonably priced entry fee. No problems parking. Very crowded on the days when there is a school bus or 10 visiting. Love the gift shop to bits! A long way to drive from the other side of town, so we only get there once or twice a year.

I understand that this is a family "museum" but the kids ruin everthing for the adults. To bad because it could be really interesting if it wasn't for the kids pushing on every button they see. The planetarium presentation was nice and informative. Would recommend to go on a school day, when there are less kids around for a informative and interesting afternoon.

Interesting displays related to sports. Interactive for young and old to try. On our visit early Dec 2017 there were some areas undergoing improvement and from Aussie friends told previous visits included interactive area on upper level which was not available this visit. In the morning exhibits swamped by primary school kids on school visits. After lunch very quiet. Would have been a quick visit but we sat in the air con and talked while the kids played. You can bring own lunch and eat at benches outside or buy food/drink from on-site cafe.
